Profile Summary
African Energy Resources Limited is engaged in evaluation and exploration of coal and energy projects in southern Africa. The Company's segments are development of power generation assets in Africa and Other. The Company focuses on the development of multiple integrated power projects in Botswana. It has a joint venture agreement to develop power generation capacity at the Sese coal project. The Sese integrated power project comprises a power station complex with its captive coal mine. The Sese coal license contains over five billion tons of low strip ratio coal providing potential for expansion of generation capacity. Its Mmamantswe coal project is approximately 1.25 billion tons project and is located approximately 20 kilometers from the international border with South Africa. Its Mmamabula West comprises approximately two 4 meters to 6 meters thick coal seams, with the upper K-Seam averaging over 105 meters depth below surface and the lower A-seam over 130 meters depth.
